Sure Bani Israil, Ayat : 53.
Say to my servants that, they should speak that which is best.
Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) Says : You control your tounge this is sadqa for you ie.. cause of removing the calamities. A servant cannot recognise Imaan throughly without controlling his tounge. (03102007)
Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) Says : Najaat of Momeen is in controlling his tongue.
Imam Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from H. Isa (a.s.) : Don’t talk much / except uttering zikr of Allah. One who talks much other then zikr of Allah then his heart becomes hard (shakth) but he does not realise it.
5.A person came to Holy Prophet and sought advise. : Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) replied : Control your toungue, people will be thrown to hell on their faces because of their tounge.
6.Imam Sadiq (a.s.) narrates that H. Luqman said to his son.
O my son if you consider speech as silver then silence is Gold.
